Hello\u2026.I\u2019m Sara Barbour, Chairperson of the Parent Council at CDHS.\u00a0 I\u2019m delighted to be supported by Amy Graham our Vice-Chair, Graeme Dutton our Clerk and Eileen\"\" Hope our Treasurer, along with an enthusiastic committee.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

I\u2019ve two daughters in the school, Lucy in S2 and Annie in S1.\u00a0 My background is mainly in Sales & Marketing but I currently work at home in our farm office, near Crocketford, where we also \u00a0live. I enjoy walking, cooking, oil painting and meeting friends.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

I previously held the position of chairperson at Hardgate Primary school for three years and know only too well the importance of having a strong, active parent council within a school.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Our parent council meet 3 or 4 times per year – meetings last around an hour and a member of the school management team are represented at each meeting.\u00a0 It\u2019s a fantastic way of learning more about what\u2019s currently happening within the school and of future plans.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Meetings will be advertised through our FB page\u00a0CD High school Parent Council<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– new committee members or any parent\/carer would be warmly welcomed at our meetings.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

CDHS PARENT COUNCIL SEPTEMBER DATES FOR YOUR DIARY<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/b>Monday 2nd\u00a0Sept 4.30 -7pm<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>– Drop-In information evening with representatives from the council on the proposed restructure of the school week which is currently in the consultation process.<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/b>Wednesday 4th\u00a0Sept 6-730pm<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0<\/b>Parent Council event to ‘Meet and Greet’ Mr Foster our new Head Teacher. Enjoy a coffee\/biscuit and enjoy an informal chat – all welcome!<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/b>Wednesday 25th September 6.30-7-30-pm\u00a0 (PLEASE NOTE NEW TIME)<\/b>\u00a0–\u00a0<\/b>Parent Council Meeting – new parents very welcome.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 25th September 6.30-7-30-pm<\/b> – meet in the school foyer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n
