MVP (Mentors in Violence Prevention) at Castle Douglas High School\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There has been great success with MVP (Mentors in Violence Prevention) at Castle Douglas High School.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>The program seeks to empower young people to safely challenge gender-based violence and bullying.\u00a0\u00a0Pupils in the programme completed two days of training to become MVP ambassadors.\u00a0\u00a0Completing the training also qualified the MVP ambassadors to deliver lessons exploring and\u00a0challenging beliefs and cultural norms to pupils in S1 and S2.\u00a0\u00a0These lessons have been very well received and this is testament to the hard work and commitment of the young people involved.\u00a0\u00a0The MVP ambassadors have also delivered an assembly to highlight the importance of safely challenging\u00a0gender-based violence and bullying.\u00a0\u00a0In this assembly they also described their role as mentors and detailed when and where they would be available to offer support.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
